What are Ae Scripts?
AE Scripts are written code desinged to enhance,speed and throttle your AE workspace.

I have collected numerous Scipts:

Tracker2Mask
Tracker2Mask is an After Effects script that computes the movement of mask shapes based on the movement of trackpoints. It is easy and flexible to use. In particular you don’t need one trackpoint for each maskpoint.

The workflow is as follows:

•track a few points (something between one and four points is reasonable, even for complex mask shapes) that represent the basic movement of the object which you want to draw a mask around
•keyframe the mask by hand in the first and last frame
•use the script to predict keyframes in between (the script uses the tracker information for this prediction which is hence much better than the simple interpolation done by after effects itself)
The third step can be interleaved with manual corrections which leads to a quite fast, assisted rotoscoping workflow.


Keytweak
While Tracker2Mask is useful to create masks, KeyTweak can be used to modify them once they are created. Have you ever animated a mask with 100 keyframes and then modified each of them by hand to correct some errors? With KeyTweak it suffices to modify one or two keyframes and the other keyframes are automatically changed ‘accordingly’.

Furthermore, with KeyTweak you cannot only modify masks but any other keyframed property. You can for example also use it to correct a drifting track or quickly refine the keyframed movement of a layer.

Layers2Grid
Arranges Selected Layers in a Grid with a choice to arrange them by Rows first (Left to Right) or by Columns first (Top to Bottom).

pt_Panorama

This script converts a panoramic image into a 3D cylinder that can be used as a background in a 3D composition.


3D Text Creator
Generates text layers and distributes them in 3D space. You can define the words, 3D ranges and color variations by editing the script. The script then asks how many words you like and will loop through your list to create them.


This script is used as part of the Cinematic Opening Title Redux tutorial on Aetuts+
You get two versions of the script: In 3D_text_creator.jsx you type the words in the script file and 3D_text_creator_from_file.jsx reads the words from an external file. Open the script in ExtendScript toolkit and read the instructions on the top of the script.

SkyDome
Skydome creates a 3D environment for your After Effects compositions at the touch of a button. The environment then responds to your camera’s position, orientation, rotation and lens properties.

LayerRandomShifter
Randomly Shifts Layers.

AudioToMarkers
This script will add markers, split a layer or add a new text layer with incrementing numbers based on audio intensity.

Usage Instructions:

•Select the audio layer and run the Keyframe Assistant “Convert Audio to Keyframes”.
•Run the script and choose which layer you wish to mark or split. If the layer you want does not show up, select the comp and press the Refresh button.
•Set the audio level at which the markers should be place. The script uses the “Both Channels” value from the Audio Amplitude layer which is created after running “Convert Audio to Keyframes”. A marker will place placed when the audio crosses that value and another marker won’t be placed until the audio drops below and above again.
•Choose one of the 3 output options:
•Place markers on a layer
•Split the layer
•Create a new text layer with incrementing numbers
The layer will then be marked or split at the threshold points. If you choose to create a new text layer then the newly created text layer will have keyframes with incrementing numerical values which can be used to trigger expressions.
